EDG SQUAD
All Age Groups
The Empowerment Development Guidance (EDG) Squad is an activity-based development program designed to provide support and guidance to vulnerable young people. Established with inspiration from The Edge Squad, the program aims to cultivate team spirit, camaraderie, and essential life skills through structured physical training, team-building activities, and personalised mentoring.

Holistic Development: The EDG program focuses on fostering emotional understanding, building trust, making new friends, and developing a strong sense of community. Participants engage in activities that help them understand emotions, build resilience, and develop communication skills.
-
Skill Building: Through weekly training plans, accountability boards, and specialised EDG training packs, participants develop unique skills and disciplines essential for navigating life's challenges.
-
Mentoring Component: A crucial part of the program is the one-on-one mentoring sessions with each student. This begins with a comprehensive questionnaire, followed by art activities designed to build connections and delve into the root causes of behavior issues. This personalised approach helps address individual needs and fosters deeper understanding and growth.
-
Competitive Spirit: The program culminates in an end-of-term EDG tournament, where participants compete against other regions in various sports. This competition provides an opportunity to showcase their skills and celebrate their achievements with awards and a special presentation night featuring guest speakers.
-
Community Engagement: The EDG Squad emphasises teamwork and community connection, offering participants a sense of belonging and a platform to build lifelong support systems.
