FOR DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS AND CARERS
Every LGA has a dedicated accessibility section covering mobility and physical access, sensory and communication needs, cognitive and learning support, and Companion Card venues. Pool hoists, beach matting, accessible playgrounds, hearing loops, AUSLAN programs, quiet spaces, Relaxed Performances and low-stimulation venues are all listed where they exist.
The back of the guide includes a full support directory: NDIS, Disability Gateway, Companion Card NSW, Vision Australia, Deaf Connect, Carers NSW, Carer Gateway, Young Carers NSW, Respite Care Australia, Autism Spectrum Australia and ADHD Australia.
FOR YOUTH WORKERS AND CASEWORKERS
Each LGA includes free community meals and food relief services - Salvation Army, Vinnies, OzHarvest, local missions and community pantries with addresses. LGBTQIA+ welcoming spaces are noted throughout, including headspace branches, ACON, Twenty10 and council programs. Crisis contacts are in the back matter: Lifeline, Kids Helpline, headspace, Mental Health Line NSW, 1800RESPECT, TIS National, Beyond Blue and Child Protection.
The hiking section was written specifically with youth groups in mind. Every trail includes how to get there by public transport, what makes it worth doing, and a note to complete a risk assessment and carry water.
